Our customized Pool Closing Services ensure your pool is properly winterized, preventing damage and making reopening seamless. We use high-quality materials and proven techniques to safeguard your pool against harsh winter conditions.

Winter Cover Installation & Protection

  • Clean and prepare the pool surface before covering
  • Install the winter cover securely to protect against debris and harsh weather
  • Inspect and secure deck equipment for winter conditions
  • Apply necessary treatments to prevent algae and staining
  • Ensure all cover fasteners and anchors are properly secured to withstand high winds and harsh winter conditions.

Pool Draining & Winterizing

  • Drain pool water to the recommended winterization level
  • Blow out and plug all lines to prevent freezing damage
  • Add antifreeze where necessary to protect the plumbing
  • Remove and store skimmer baskets, return jets, and other detachable parts
  • Check and clear any debris from skimmers and drains before closing to prevent blockages when reopening.

Pump & Filtration System Winterization

  • Thoroughly clean and backwash the pool filter before shutting down
  • Drain and winterize the pump, filter, and heater to prevent freezing damage
  • Remove and store filter cartridges or DE grids if applicable
  • Lubricate and secure O-rings, gaskets, and seals for added protection
    Inspect and ensure all equipment is properly shut down for winter
  • Inspect and replace worn-out seals or gaskets to ensure a tight closure and prevent leaks in spring.

System Shut-down & Equipment Protection

  • Turn off and winterize the pump, filter, and heater
  • Remove and store ladders, handrails, and diving boards if required
  • Inspect and secure plumbing to prevent leaks and frost damage
  • Balance pool chemistry to reduce scaling and algae growth over winter
  • Apply a protective anti-corrosion treatment to metal components to prevent rust and deterioration over winter.

Final Pool Closing Check

  • Ensure all plugs, covers, and equipment are properly secured
  • Provide recommendations for maintaining the pool throughout the winter
  • All chemicals and additional parts provided will be invoiced separately
  • Document and provide a closing report detailing all services performed and any maintenance recommendations for spring.
  • Double-check that all electrical components, including timers and lighting systems, are properly shut off or set to winter mode to prevent damage.
